New taxi hailing app launched in Davao City

Davao City mayor Sara Duterte led the launch of a new taxi hailing app called HirNa, today, December 19, at the Davao City Hall training center.

HirNa, an LTFRB accredited taxi hailing app, converges the most number of taxis in the country's largest city in one powerful hailing platform. This means taxis using Hirna will be acting as one transport conglomerate united by the common goal of giving an efficient, convenient, comfortable, fast and secure taxi service to the riding public.

”With Hirna, we deliver premium passenger service with no turn-downs, no booking fees, or price surges," said Avis Philippines President & CEO Francisco Mauricio.

Aside from the app, Francisco Mauricio, president of AVIS Philippines enumerated the following benefits of the application and its edge on the other existing hailing applications:

· No passenger booking fee
· No surge pricing
· 24/7 booking hotline (no app, no problem)
· No additional cars on the road (decrease traffic congestion and carbon footprint
· Elevates taxi service via driver/vehicle rating system

This project is a collaboration of Avis Global and Avis Philippines for the infrastructure backbone, Globe Telecom as a network partner, and the Metro Davao Taxi Association.
